For the past 40 plus years Whitworth Land Corporation has worked with numerous large and small companies to help them locate the best property for their needs. Clients have ranged from large and small industrial manufacturers, home builders, land developers, large retail operations, our local universities and hospitals just to name a few of the industries. Some of these names are familiar around the US and even the globe. Most recently the new Caterpillar manufacturing facility land was brokered by Whitworth. Some of the companies represented over the years, worth noting, are Target, Overhead Door, IBM, Louisiana Pacific, Merial, McLane Distribution, SKAPS Industries, Nakanishi Metal Works, Georgia Kraft Paper, Carrier Corp, CertainTeed, Fairfield Residential of Dallas, and Athens Technology Park. They have helped some of the largest land owners of the area with the sale and disposition of assets including the University of Georgia, Athens Technical College, and Athens Regional Medical Center. It is necessary to mention just some of the retail placements the company has been involved in for example, SunTrust Bank, McDonalds, Zaxby’s, Applebee’s, Sonic, and Butler’s Crossing Shopping Center anchored by a Publix.
More recently Whitworth has been a strong ally to a number of local banks as they have represented them to dispose of FDIC and REO properties, such as First American Bank, State Bank, Northeast Georgia Bank, and SunTrust.
